Internet 4G will be available in Egypt in 2016

Mobile Internet 4G will be available in Egypt by the first quarter of the year 2016. Minister Khaled Negm has announced that works are under way to implement mobile Internet connection of the next generation. The old copper wires are being replaced with optical fiber, the main data gate of Egypt is also modernized. Khaled Negm dismissed the rumors about mounting pressure towards state company Telecom Egypt not to enter the market with 4G license.

Egypt aims to double tourist stream to the year 2020

The Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) which is in charge to promote tourism in the country is aiming to reach a goal of 20 million guests yearly to the 2020. The main source of the growth for the tourism sector is fellow Arabic countries and the internal tourism. The strategy has proven to be successful during the Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr seasons. Hurghada and Sharm-el-Sheikh hotels were filled 90-100% while the overall part of the international visitors was only 50 to 60%.
